Diploma in Silver metal clay ToolKit and materials kit
Thank you for your interest in the Diploma in Silver Metal Clay 1-year course. We’re so excited for you to join us!
One of the benefits of working on this from home is that you are using your own tools which you will continue to use for years to come.
We currently have a limited number of tools and materials kits available to purchase for students enrolling on the Diploma in Silver Metal Clay for a September 2025 start. They are being put together and shipped by Metal Clay Ltd.
Tool and material kits can be paid for in full or via a payment plan. They will be sent to you in advance of the course start in September 2025 and Metal Clay Ltd will notify you that they are on the way.
You can download a list of the tools and materials you require to complete the course on the button below. Please note that not all items needed for the course are included in the kit. The items listed in red on this document are not included.
We strongly advise that you purchase the materials kit. There are some part items in the kit that you will have to pay in full for including gold leaf for keum boo and enamels.
Already have some tools? No problem
If you already have some tools, you may choose just to purchase the tools listed that you don’t have. We have put together a handy document with links to purchase the tools and materials.
These links are for UK suppliers, usually Metal Clay Ltd or Cookson Gold. If you are outside of the UK you can either purchase from UK suppliers or use these links as an example for purchasing from suppliers in your country. If you are in the USA we suggest shopping with Cool Tools.
Some Ts and Cs
We are unable to ship the materials kits to Andorra, Argentina, France, Greece, Portugal, Turkey, India, Israel or the Falkland Islands.
Kits sent to France are subject to an additional customs charge of 600 Euros
If there is a fault with any of the items please contact Metal Clay Ltd directly
The materials kit includes what you need for the assessment on this Diploma course except for your final project. For your final project, you are asked to make one piece of jewellery to your own design and you will need to source your own materials for this,
If you are outside of the UK, please look out for emails from Metal Clay Ltd. You may receive an email from FedEx which you need to respond to for Customs purposes. You have a limited time to respond before your kit is shipped back to the UK and this could lead to a delay in you receiving your parcel.
