The Jewellery Business Academy 2026 is designed to offer monthly training, support, community and connection to jewellers who are either in the process of starting their own business or those up and running who are looking to learn more about the trade and grow.

This year long program has been newly filmed featuring jeweller case studies, filming in their workplaces and refreshed content.

This month, we'll explore various planning methods so you can choose what works best for you. We’ll also dive into your revenue-generating activities for the year and identify the key metrics to track for success.

february: branding for jewellers: creating a business around your values

It's essential that your jewellery brand reflects who you are and the values you stand for, as everything you do as a business owner flows from this foundation. This month, we're focusing on your brand—yes, that includes your logo and colours, but it goes much deeper. It’s time to perfect your branding.

march: all about the jewellery - your product strategy

Let’s shift our focus to your jewellery. Creating a signature style that truly represents you as a jeweller and is easily recognizable will help you connect with and inspire your customers. This month is all about helping you refine and showcase your unique style.

Photography and videography are key to getting your jewellery out there and noticed. It is also an essential sales tool and an ongoing project within your business. This month we will deep dive into all aspects of photography in your jewellery business and equip you with the skills you need to level up.

This month we will be working together on setting up and optimising your website. We will be covering everything you need to know including product listings, SEO, creating a great user experience and showing your jewellery in its best light. Profit is key to ensuring your jewellery business is sustainable and enjoyable to work in. This month we will work together on both the practical side including pricing your work to ensure you make a profit as well as the mindset of having the confidence to charge what you are worth and to handle money in your business (and life) without fear. Sounds great doesn’t it!?

august: business matters

This month is all about the essential business aspects of running a successful jewellery brand. We’ll cover key topics like hallmarking, effective postage and packaging solutions to protect your creations and deliver a great customer experience. Additionally, you'll get a brief guide to managing taxes, helping you stay compliant and organised as your business grows.

september: email marketing

Your most powerful sales tool in your jewellery business is emailing those who’ve specifically asked to hear from you! Together, we’ll master this skill. From setting up your mailing list to crafting your welcome emails, and sending regular updates, you’ll learn how to use email marketing effectively to drive consistent online sales.

How the Academy Works

We are professionals in online training for jewellers in Business

And this is a structured and supportive training programme, combining a mixture of live and pre-recorded video training sessions.

We are focused on helping you learn and develop your knowledge and expertise in the key areas of building a strong jewellery business. Providing a full package of training, support sessions, motivation and mentoring.

Who the Academy is for?

This Jewellery Business Academy is perfect for you:

  • Wherever you are in the world - you don’t need to travel to London to study with us anymore! And the content is about supporting you to build and grow a profitable jewellery business wherever you are in the world.

  • You can make jewellery in any medium e.g. gold. silver, metal clay, beads, polymer clay, wood etc.

  • We welcome jewellers of all levels of jewellery business and support those further along as well as those who are new to the industry.

  • No previous qualifications are necessary.

Each Academy student is fully supported in their learning with

  • One 1-2-1 mentoring session over live video at a time that works for you.

  • Monthly LIVE Zoom sessions with a business mentor in a small group to get the support you need.

  • Exclusive access to the student Facebook group to share your progress and gain feedback 24/7.

  • Monthly lessons that you can watch anytime (time zone is not an issue!)

  • At the end of the course, we will be awarding students a certificate of completion of the Jewellery Business Academy. This is awarded to students that have attended and completed a significant amount of the programme.

  • This is not simply an online course. This is a community and mentoring programme complete with in-depth business training.

 
 

What has happened to the Jewellery Business Bootcamp?

The 8-week intensive Jewellery Business Bootcamp originally began as a week-long course at the London Jewellery School and later transitioned online, running annually from 2016 to 2024.

With the introduction of our year-long program, we think it’s time to grow your business with a focused, monthly approach rather than risk overwhelm in just 8 weeks.

The Jewellery Business Academy still covers the key themes of the Bootcamp but with more time and support, allowing you to truly integrate these lessons into your business.

Jessica Rose

So lovely to meet you and welcome! I’m a Jewellery Designer and Entrepreneur. In 2008 I launched the London Jewellery School and grew it to over £500,000 turnover within a few years. I have just set up Jewellers Academy Brighton and we open our doors in early 2025.

I have run 5 different jewellery businesses, won some great business awards, helped over a million people to learn jewellery-making through face-to-face classes and online tutorials. I am the author of the bestselling book ‘Start and Grow a Profitable Jewellery Business’

And for me it all started with a dream to make jewellery (what I love) and make a profit from it (something needed to grow, and buy more gemstones!). Sound familiar?!

Now my focus is on supporting designers like you to do just that, follow your passion and run your own successful jewellery businesses, on your terms.

 
 

Anna Campbell

Anna is a silver clay jeweller, qualified teacher and certified life coach. She is the founder of Jewellery School Scotland based in Edinburgh.

She is also the Community Manager at Jewellers Academy and has been helping to support jewellers in running thriving businesses for over 10 years.

Anna’s business areas of expertise are, mindset, psychology, Instagram, email marketing organisation and motivation for small business owners and sharing about what you love.

 
 

Karen Young

Karen is a handmade jeweller and jewellery photographer based in London.

She is the tutor for the Jewellers Academy course Jewellery Photography. She has been a business mentor on the Jewellery Business Bootcamp since it launched in 2016.

Karen offers remote styled product photography for other handmade business owners.  Karen passionately believes that all handmade artists deserve sharp, well-lit photos of their beautiful handmade designs to capture the hearts and minds of your ideal customers so they stand out and sell more online.

 

Kelly Twigg

Kelly is maker of handcrafted jewellery in silver using creating both classic and contemporary designs. Her jewellery business is called Willow and Twigg and she is very influenced by nature and her walks on the beach collecting sea glass.

Kelly is growing a successful business through her use of Instagram, with a highly engaged following cheering her on.

 

elin horgan

Elin Horgan is a Bristol-based jewellery designer and maker with over 10 years of experience in the industry. She makes her own collections, makes her own collections incorporating wax carved & cast designs. Her geometric designs are inspired by abstract art, architecture and the urban environment, which she sells online and through selected independent shops & galleries in the UK.

Elin's work was chosen to be a part of the Royal Academy's RA-ted programme which supported a small group of emerging designers by selling a selection of their work through it's shop. Elin has also exhibited at international conferences.

 

Alice Cant

Alice runs her jewellery business Alice Cant Jewellery. She creates sea glass jewellery inspired by the ocean in the Outer Hebrides.

Alice runs her own shop/studio on the Isle of Lewis, with help from her studio assistant, to sell her jewellery and share her love of making.

 

Alongside these talented mentors is a growing team of successful jewellers who will be joining as the year goes on. You will be assigned a group and 1-2-1 mentor to match the needs you are facing in your business over the coming 12 months.

Is there a way to see what a lesson looks like before committing to the full program ?

Is all the course content released at the start of the month?

Yes. At the start of each month you will get access to all of the content for that month so you can plan your time

How much time do I need to set aside to complete the course ?

We recommend you set aside 3-4 hours a week if you can. You will be watching the pre-recorded video content and then implementing what you learn for your business. If you can only do an hour a week it will still be beneficial to your business

Is the program pre-recorded or do I need to attend live?

The course content will be released at the beginning of the month and will be pre-recorded videos, notes and resources. Time zone is not an issue! The live content will be your monthly mentoring calls, after you've enrolled, we will send you a form to give your preferred time for attending these. There are also monthly masterclasses and these are recorded if you can't join us live.

How do I achieve Jewellery Business Academy certification?

To be eligible for certification you will need to do the following:

  • Access the course monthly (minimum). We will be monitoring logins and content watching
  • Join a mentoring group and attend at least 8 of the 10 live sessions. We'll be taking a register during sessions
  • Book and attend your one-to-one business mentoring session
  • Submit a jewellery business growth plan by the deadline date

I'm not in the UK. Will this course be relevant for me?

Yes. The business content of this course is focussed on the actions you need to take in your business for it to grow and be profitable. These actions are not dependent on your location. Do take a look at the course content (near the top of this webpage) to see what we cover on the course

How can I stay accountable and motivated on an online course?

The structured style of the Jewellery Business Academy will help you with this. Each month the content will be released and you will have the month to watch the course and complete the tasks you need to do for your business. There will also be monthly (except Dec and Aug) mentoring group calls to help keep you accountable.

When does payment start if I sign up for a payment plan?

If you choose a payment plan it starts immediately and the payment goes out on the same date each month so if you sign up on the 8th of the month, the payments will go out on the 8th of each month until the plan is complete and the course is paid in full. If you prefer your payment to go out on a certain date e.g. on 1st of the month we suggest signing up on that date as unfortunately we aren’t able to change the date.

Is this course eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan?

As we are a private educational institution unfortunately our courses aren’t eligible for the Advanced Learner Loan. We do offer an 12-month payment plan to help you spread the cost. And remember that this counts as a business expense.

I'm not in the UK, how do the payments work with the exchange rate?

If you are in the US you can choose to pay in US dollars. For other currencies, the monthly payments will fluctuate slightly with exchange rate fluctuations and can go down as well as up. If you want to start a monthly payment programme and then pay off in full when the exchange rate is in your favour you can do this by getting in touch with us contact@jewellersacademy.com
