Double Gallery Claw Setting
Hello lovely
If you love gemstones and are ready to really up your stone setting game then you are in the right place!
double gallery claw setting
Is a fantastic way to showcase the sparkle of beautiful faceted gemstones.
Watch the course trailer now to see what you’ll learn.
What will I learn?
To make a stunning and quite advanced setting which is known as the double gallery claw setting.
This involves:
Using tube to create a perfect fit for a claw setting on your stone (If you know how to make a collet you can also create your own collet, either straight or angled for this technique)
To position and create your 4 claws using silver wire
To cut out the gallery which allows for lots of beautiful light to enter into the stone and make it sparkle even more!
To solder your claws neatly and precisely onto the double gallery
To use professional setting techniques to set the stone
All using simple tools and materials that any stone setter/ jeweller will have in their workshop.
This course demonstrates how to create the setting for round stones. Once you’ve mastered this, the same skills can be used for other shaped stones.
PLEASE NOTE: This class is Intermediate to advanced level. I do recommend taking it only after you have made a collet setting and a simple claw setting. We have courses for both of these stone setting techniques should you wish to take them first.
