A two month supported programme to learn to make and explore the world of decorative collet stone setting with Anelia Kuprina

Introducing an exciting new online masterclass in advanced stone setting with expert goldsmith Anelia Kuprina. 

Learn to create stunning decorative collets for large gemstones.

Anelia will guide you through the process of setting round, marquise, hexagon and shaped stones into silver or gold with a range of different styles of pierced out collets.

Looking at geometric designs as well as more floral and organic styles, you will learn to mark out complex designs on to flat, tapered and domed settings.

Anelia will show you how these techniques can be applied to earrings, necklaces and rings. Decorative collets create a beautiful fine look and will challenge you as a jeweller to push your skills to the next level. 

Key Dates

This masterclass will run live for two months with Q&A support sessions with Anelia and a dedicated Facebook group to connect with other jewellers making at the same time as you, as well as mentors to support your learning.

Course start date: Tuesday 1st October 2024

Course end date: Monday 2nd December 2024

Please note all live sessions will be recorded and you can watch the replay if you can’t make it live. If you have questions for Anelia you can also share them with us ahead of time for her to answer on the sessions.

What You Will Learn

This masterclass is packed full of techniques including…

  • Working with templates and marking our your designs, on flat, tapered and domed surfaces.

  • Working with large shaped stones using piercing, scoring and soldering to create the perfect mount for the stone to go in.

  • Setting your stones

  • Creating a ring, earrings and necklace design with different pierced project designs

How the online Training Works

We are professionals in online training for jewellers

Having run online programmes for jewellers for over 10 years, we are world-class leaders in this type of training. This is a cohort-based style learning in which you will work at your own pace through the course over the two months.

Alongside the professionally filmed videos there will be three live sessions with Anelia to help you get any questions answered and learn more about the techniques you are learning as you work through the programme.

In the ten years that she has spent in the industry, she has worked for leading UK jewellery companies, West End ateliers and the time-honoured workshops of Hatton Garden. This practical training has endowed her with the skills necessary to be able to expertly manipulate precious metals and infuse meticulous precision into her work. Anelia jewellery utilises her innate understanding of form and texture with a potent blend of hypnotic colour to create luxurious sculptural masterpieces in miniature form.
