The Jewellers Academy podcast releases one episode each week on a Monday. We feature tips for jewellers in business as well as interviews with jewellers and other experts in the field.

Information for podcast guests

Thanks so much for agreeing to be interviewed for the Jewellers Academy podcast. Here is some information for you and some faqs.

How we record the episode

The episode is recorded over Zoom. We normally spend the first 10-15 minutes chatting about what to cover before we start recording so that we can get to know you a bit more and we can discuss the questions and an angle for the show.

There are a couple of technical things for you to note:

  • if possible, please wear headphones/have headphones available for the recording. This helps prevent any echo on the audio

  • the podcast is edited by our podcast editor and is not broadcast live so don’t worry if you make any mistakes or have any pauses!

Getting HD VIDEO quality on Zoom

We add the video of your podcast recording on to our podcast YouTube channel. To enable HD in the Zoom desktop client

  1. Click your profile picture

  2. Click Settings

  3. Click the Video tab

  4. Click HD

(You have to do this every time you use Zoom if you want HD. If you have a free Zoom account you may not have this feature so don’t worry if you don’t see it)

Promotion for you

In the week of your recording please send the following for the website and promotion of the episode.

  • A head shot of you

  • A photo of your jewellery/something that represents what you do

  • A short paragraph about you and your business

  • Any links you would like to share e.g. website, social media etc

We will let you know when your episode is due to be published and will send you links to promote and images that you can use.
