WHAT ABOUT ALL THE TOOLS & MATerials?

 
 

For the Advanced Jewellery Diploma, students source their own tools and materials. There are no kits for this course except a bespoke stone setting hand tool kit made by Scott McIntyre which will be shipped to all students and is included in the cost of the course for this year.

Please note that for the final project, students will be able to choose materials and tools they use themselves.

Scott McIntyre stone setting toolkit

As part of the course, you receive a stone-setting toolkit put together for you by master goldsmith Scott McIntyre. This kit includes the tools you need to complete his workshops on the course - pave setting, tension and channel setting.

This kit and international shipping is included in the course price.

The kit includes:

  • Bezel setting tool [with large and small pusher]

  • Beader Kit/grain tools

  • Dopstick [with setter's wax]

  • Thermoloc

  • Square graver

  • Narrow flat scorper

  • Wide flat scorper

  • Spitzstick

  • Sharpening stone

    We regret that due to shipping regulations, we are unable to ship the tools & materials kits to Andorra, Argentina, Greece, Turkey, India, Portugal, Israel, Anguilla or the Falkland Islands.

    Kits sent to France are subject to an approximate additional customs charge of 600 Euros.
