Episode two of the Jewellers Retreat is now available to watch. This is day two of the retreat and the jewellers are challenged to make a a wedding and engagement ring set for an edgy couple. They have just 5 hours. Do they get finished in time? Watch to find out!
what is the jewellers retreat?
In case you haven’t seen, this is a show that we have made for you. I invited three Jewellers Academy Advanced Diploma students to my home for three days of jewellery making. Each day, the students made three different jewellery projects under time constraints. They had an expert jeweller mentor available to ask for help and support and the show features lots of tips and tricks as well as some drama!

Kath made wedding and engagement ring set inspired by an octopus. The engagement ring features a statement moonstone.

Kate was inspired by ametrine, a gemstone that is half amethyst and half citrine. She used these stones on the wedding band and a gorgeous cut for the main engagement ring stone.

tressa
Tressa took inspiration from the stone - a teal trillion cut sapphire on a white gold engagement ring band with grain set diamonds and a yellow gold wedding ring band.

I loved their creativity and use of gemstones in these pieces.
