Announcing the Winners of JewelFund 2019
Blog
Introducing the winners of our two £1000 JewelFund grants for 2019...
I created the JewelFund award in 2018 and I award a grant to two jewellers each year. The winners get a £1000 grant each to be spent on their jewellery business, 1-year membership for Jewellers Academy and one to one business coaching with me every six weeks for a year.
I’d like to thank every jeweller that applied for JewelFund. As you might expect, we had hundreds and hundreds of strong applications this year with lots of interesting and innovative ways to spend the money to support your jewellery businesses. I enlisted the help of three jewellers with shortlisting the applications and although I know everyone says it, it really was hard to make a final decision about who to award the funds to as there were a lot of worthy applications.
And now it is time for the announcement.... can I get a drumroll, please...
Announcing the winners!
Lia Lubiana
Lia is based in Toronto in Canada and has an established jewellery business selling online and in shops. Lia started her first jewellery business when she was just 8 years old! I was impressed with Lia's drive in all that she has achieved so far and love that her brand has a strong identity to promote self-care & wellbeing. She's a fellow gemstone lover too.

David Hitchcock
David is based in the UK and makes innovative jewellery from his own photographs transposed onto aluminium. I love the technique he has developed and I can see how his work will be of interest to shops.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR TWO WINNERS!
After reading the applications this year I also created a new category, the 'Too Good To Miss' award winners who will be receiving a year of Jewellers Academy membership along with a 1-2-1 coaching session with me.
The two jewellers in this category are:
Carin Lindberg
Carin creates beautiful gemstone jewellery with character and personality. Made in her studio in Cornwall. She is developing the bespoke/ commission side of her business. @carinlindberg
Lulu and Belle
Lulu + Belle is a small, independent jewellery brand, created by Sandra Pokrant. Each piece of jewellery is hand made to order, from a little seaside workshop, based outside the picturesque coastal village of Skerries on Dublin's North Coast. She also offers jewellery making workshops. @luluandbelle
Do give them each a follow to connect with them on Instagram so we can all stay in touch and learn from each other.
I look forward to sharing updates on their jewellery making journey with you over the coming year!
