Announcing the Winners of JewelFund 2020

Introducing the winners of our £1000 JewelFund grants for 2020 ...
I created the JewelFund award in 2018 and I award a grant to two jewellers each year (usually!). This year I decided to award at least one of the JewelFund grants to a BAME jeweller.
The winners get a £1000 grant each to be spent on their jewellery business, 1-year membership for Jewellers Academy and one to one business coaching with me every other month for a year.
I’d like to thank every jeweller that applied for JewelFund. We had nearly 400 applications and they were particularly strong this year. I found it very difficult to choose and in the end for the first time, I chose 3 winners instead of 2!
Announcing the winners!
Marcus Osbourne
Marcus works in wax carved jewellery and mostly works on commissions and repairs. He applied for Jewel Fund to support his creation of a brand new range of products and to create a web shop.

Julie Nicaisse
Julie started her career working in Hatton Garden for other jewellers, working her way up to head jeweller for a renowned brand. She started her own business two years ago and will use the fund to help build that business.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR Three WINNERS!
In 2019 I also created a new category, the 'Too Good To Miss' award winners who will be receiving a 1-2-1 mentoring session with me.
The four jewellers in this category are:
Michelle from Lierreworks
Handcrafted filigree jewellery.
Kerry from Thorn and Claw
Evocative, primal jewellery designs, invoking the darker side of nature.
Doll from Picklepeg Jewellery
Jewellery and workshops online and from her shop in Falmouth, Cornwall.
Malaika from Chalk Jewellery
Contemporary design-led jewellery that make you stand out and feel fabulous.
Do give them each a follow to connect with them. I look forward to sharing updates on their jewellery making journey with you over the coming year!
