Finding your Unique Style as a Jeweller
Episode 21
Finding your niche/ unique style as a jeweller helps your business to have an identity, to stand out from the crowd and will lead to more sales. Here are some ideas to help you find yours!
Welcome to Episode 21 of the Jewellers Academy Video Podcast! It is wonderful to have you here.
Why is a niche so important?
When you find a niche your customer understands what you are offering and they come back to you again and again for it. Which is great for business! It can be challenging finding your niche but once you have one it helps to direct all the branding, marketing and general direction for our business.
So how do we find one?
1. Look at your materials
What materials do you usually work in, how important are they to your style? Is there anything different or unique about what they are and how you use them?
2. What is the ethos behind your business? What do you care about? Think of your values and what jewellery means to you.
3. What are your personal interests/ knowledge areas? Cycling, yoga, babies, skateboarding, meditation, the beach? Can you link your jewellery to a niche area to help build your audience?
4. Look for a gap in the market. Is there anything that you wish you could buy that just isn't out there? If so you are probably not the only one, this is a great way to stand out from the crowd and help your customers fulfill a need at the same time.
