You had lots of questions for me! Here are some answers to some of those questions about the course 👇
When does the course start?
Monday 11th September 2023. The course runs until July 2024
What experience do I need to take the Advanced Diploma in Jewellery?
This course is designed as the perfect follow on from the Diploma in Fine Jewellery. As the name suggests, this is an advanced level course so please look at what is covered in the Fine Diploma to assure yourself that you can confidently do all of those techniques. If you have not done the Fine Diploma we ask you to book in for an informal Zoom interview with us as part of the application process. We want to be sure that the course is right for you and that you will be able to achieve what you want from it. To book your appointment click here > If you have done the Diploma in Fine Jewellery you can enrol on the Advanced Diploma without interview.
Will we be able to access all task videos after finishing any of the courses? Jemma
Yes, you'll have lifetime access to the course so you can come back to them whenever you need to
Are the mentors randomly allocated, or can we express a preference given there’s a lot more personal design in this Diploma? Helen
Mentors on all our Diploma courses are chosen because of their expertise. Before the start of the course, we ask you to complete a form to fill in your availability and we match you with a qualified mentor that is available at times that suit you for your one-to-one Zoom sessions with them. If you have a preference for a mentor please email contact@jewellersacademy.com so that we can make a note of it. We will do our best to match you with your choice but we aren’t able to guarantee it as it depends on their availability to support you.
Is there much written work for assessment? Jemma
No! The course is a practical one where you make the projects and submit them for assessment. You are asked to write a paragraph about the inspiration for your final project but no essays are required
How many of our own designs do we submit? Anna
Each week you will have marking criteria which sets out what you need to do for assessment. Within that you have design freedom as long as you hit the marking criteria. At the end of the course, you submit a final project which is your own design
How do I find out the price of the course?
There are lots of different payment options depending on what you want - tuition, toolkits and materials kits are all currently available. You can choose to pay in full or in instalments over 18 months.
You can find a full breakdown of all the payment plans on the button below, scroll down to find the course fees.
